We recently stayed at Shellbraes Studio for a peaceful getaway after our busy wedding day. The communication with the hosts was smooth and accurate, and we found the bed to be incredibly comfortable. The back yard provided a great space to relax in the peaceful countryside surroundings. We appreciated the nice touches of biscuits and a coffee machine in the room. The shower and bathroom were fitted to a high standard and the decor throughout the property was impeccable. We also enjoyed the nature around the property, with birds, lambs, horses, and a friendly black cat. it was a perfect, cozy retreat.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Location was perfect for exploring the area, with stunning views and rural surroundings. The studio was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The hosts provided great communication and accommodated our early check-in. The log fire and underfloor heating added a cozy touch to our stay. We appreciated the handy information booklet and leaflets in the studio. The kitchen was well-equipped and the provided coffee maker and tea facilities were a nice touch. We enjoyed the spacious bed and separate areas in the open plan layout. Despite a small fridge issue, the studio had everything we needed for a week-long stay. The outside space was delightful, and we even got to see the Northern Lights! The peacefulness of the location was truly refreshing, with only the sound of sheep in the background.

I had a wonderful experience staying at a characterful and cosy 'studio'. The hosts were very responsive and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed during my 3 night stay. The bed and settee were very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking. The log burner added to the ambiance and created a cozy atmosphere. The studio had all the necessary facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen with a hob and microwave. The private courtyard was a good space to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the narrow sink in the ensuite and the fold out table being a little cramped, these did not distract from the overall experience.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing break at this modern and open-plan villa. The original features were well-preserved and the villa had everything we needed. Its location was perfect for exploring the local area, from the nearby Hexham with its supermarkets to the charming Corbridge with its independent shops and eateries. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome hamper filled with delicious local treats. Our stay was made even more enjoyable with the cozy wood burning stove and the beautiful touches like fresh flowers and a coffee maker. The villa provided a peaceful and relaxing space for us to unwind and enjoy the lovely walks in the area.
